Food packaging film

- Mar 06, 2019-

The food packaging film is used to wrap the surface of the food, and is mainly used to isolate the decomposition of microbial bacteria and foreign pollutants, and to prevent and prolong the deterioration of the food material.

1. Photocatalytic inorganic antibacterial film

Antibacterial mechanism: The photocatalytic antibacterial agent is mainly TiO2, which can generate a large amount of hydroxyl radicals and oxygen radicals on the surface under the action of light. These two radicals have strong chemical activity and can cause various microorganisms to occur. Organic decomposition, thus having antibacterial properties.

Application of photocatalytic inorganic antibacterial film. Since 1995, photocatalytic preparations have been first introduced in Japan, food packaging.

2. Natural and polymeric antibacterial film

Other antibacterial films include natural antibacterial films and polymeric antibacterial films. Their antibacterial mechanism is through the action of the charge on the molecular chain and the microorganisms, thereby inhibiting the proliferation of microorganisms and playing an antibacterial role. The main food packaging is chitosan, sorbic acid, and turmeric root alcohol.

3. Composite antibacterial film

The effect of the composite antibacterial film is mainly reflected in the following aspects: prolonging the antibacterial cycle; producing antibacterial properties at low concentrations; broadening the antibacterial spectrum and inhibiting more microorganisms than any single antibacterial film.

4. Inorganic antibacterial agent thin

The inorganic antibacterial agent is an antibacterial agent prepared by utilizing metals such as silver, copper, zinc, titanium and ions thereof, and sterilizing and bacteriostatic ability. In the early 1980s, Japanese scientists began to add silver compounds directly to the resin, and for the first time made antibacterial plastic films with inorganic antibacterial agents.

Antibacterial mechanism: Since the inorganic antibacterial agent is a dissolution contact type antibacterial agent, the antibacterial effect of the inorganic antibacterial agent film is passive. There are two explanations for the antibacterial mechanism of metal ions.

One is the contact reaction mechanism. The metal ions in the inorganic antibacterial film are in contact with the microorganisms, destroying the structure of the microbial protein, causing the death or malfunction of the microorganisms.

One is the active oxygen mechanism. The micro-metal ions distributed on the surface of the inorganic antibacterial film can absorb the energy in the environment, activate the oxygen in the air and water adsorbed on the surface of the packaging film, and produce hydroxy-based groups and active oxygen ions, which have strong redox ability and can It destroys the reproductive capacity of bacterial cells, inhibits or kills bacteria, and produces an antibacterial effect.

5. Organic antibacterial film

Antibacterial mechanism: The main mechanism of action of organic antibacterial agents is to gradually enter the cells by binding to anionic anion on the surface of the microbial cell membrane, or react with groups such as sulfhydryl groups on the cell surface to destroy the synthesis system of proteins and cell membranes and inhibit the proliferation of microorganisms.
